Flexible Service Delivery

Background:

In the Marches we have been working closely with the University College Worcester. Jobcentre Plus is not just a new brand, it brings with it a whole new way of providing job search and benefit services to the community.

Recently the first ever job point to be located in a further education establishment was opened at the University College Worcester. The job point will help students who need to fund their years at college and local residents. A dedicated phone line allows the public to make enquiries over the phone, at no cost, about jobs, benefits and help to return to work if health is an issue. The siting of a job point in a University College marks an important partnership development for the District reflecting the way we are changing how we deliver our services, increasing our availability and visibility in the community.

As well as the University College we are working closely with other partner organisations to extend our flexible service delivery approach to enable customers to have easier access to our services and have successfully sited job points in libraries and Info centres.
