Jobzone Action Team

Audience:

Partnership working and jobless people in Wolverhampton.

Background:

The Jobzone Action Team is an initiative which works with jobless people in the 14 (out of 20) most deprived Council wards in Wolverhampton. The Jobzone Action Team provides community based employment advisers (both Jobcentre Plus staff and secondees to Jobcentre Plus) qualified to NVQ Level 3 in advice and guidance, who have the facility to access financial assistance over and above that available to mainstream Jobcentre Plus Advisers.

The Jobzone Action Team is a partnership initiative led by Jobcentre Plus with support from the City of Wolverhampton College, Wolverhampton City Council and the All Saints and Blakenhall Community Development (ABCD) Partnership.
