People in Tamworth will be able to hop aboard the Jobcentre Plus Jobsbus as it stops off in the town centre on Thursday 14th October. Over 100 temporary Christmas vacancies, as well as several permanent vacancies, will be available to local job hunters between 10.00 to 3.00pm as the Jobsbus pulls in to St Editha’s Square. Full and part time posts with local employers such as Moto, Next, Agros, Vodafone, Big W and O2 will be on offer aboard the Jobsbus. Helen Radbourne, Tamworth Jobcentre manager, said: “We have a great selection of full and part time jobs on offer that include either day, evening or weekend shifts. There is a lot of choice and these positions would suit anyone looking for work, whether they are parents looking for a job to fit around school hours or students looking to earn a little extra cash in the run up to Christmas. "Tamworth Jobcentre is working in partnership with several local employers to find the right people to fill their vacancies. Many of the jobs will be to cover the Christmas period but permanent posts are also available." Helen added: "Experience is not always necessary, as full training will be given. Employers are looking for people who are willing to work flexible hours and don’t mind late nights and weekends." Specialist advisers from Jobcentre Plus will be on hand throughout the day to give help and advice on how to apply and fill in application forms, plus information on the extra financial help that may be available when people start work, such as Working Tax Credit, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit. Anyone interested but who cannot attend the event, or who would like more information about job vacancies in their local area can either call into their local Jobcentre.
