Wolverhampton City Council has joined forces with Jobcentre Plus to fill almost 40 vacancies. It is holding two open days at Chapel Court Jobcentre in Queen Street to find the right people for the jobs available in its Catering and Cleaning Division. The first event on Tuesday 24th February is for those interested in work in the catering section and the second on Wednesday 25th February is for cleaning jobs. Both run from 10.00am to 2.00pm. No previous experience is needed as full training will be given and the hours vary from 10 a week up to 20. A city council uniform will be provided for successful applicants and catering staff are entitled to lunch on days they work. Contracts are for term-time only and anyone interested in applying can go along to the open days to talk to supervisors from the Cleaning and Catering Division, find out more about the jobs and how to apply. Jobcentre advisers will also be on hand to discuss extra benefits that may be available when starting work, such as Working Tax Credit. Hilary Clews, Chapel Court vacancy services manager, said, "This is a great opportunity for people to secure employment with one of the City’s leading employers. I’d urge them to come along and find out about the benefits of working for Wolverhampton City Council." Further information on the open days is available from Chapel Court Jobcentre on telephone number 01902 435377 or you can call Jobseeker Direct to access the thousands of jobs on offer locally, nationally and internationally on local rate telephone number 0845 6060234. Lines are open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays or you can visit the Job search section on this website.
