Stoke on Trent Jobcentre is hosting a jobsfair for national energy provider NPower, who are recruiting up to 100 staff over the next six months at their customer contact centre in Victoria Road. Full and part time permanent vacancies will be on offer at the event being held at the Quality Hotel in Hanley on 26th February 2004 between 12pm to 7pm. There are a variety of full and part time permanent posts up for grabs including administrators, payment processors and customer service operators working in the modern office, within easy reach by public transport. Di Armstrong, employer account manager for Jobcentre Plus in Staffordshire said, “NPower is a prestigious local employer which is working in partnership with Jobcentre Plus to recruit additional staff to join their existing team of over 700 employees in Stoke. The starting salary is £10,868 increasing to £11,385 plus £1,000 bonus per annum, paid on a pro rata basis for part time employees, as well as staff benefits. Jobcentre Plus advisers will be on hand at the jobsfair to discuss the range of help and assistance available when starting work, such as help towards the costs of childcare and advice on in work benefits. Representatives from NPower will also be at the jobsfairs to issue application forms, perform screening checks and advise applicants on their suitability for the posts. Several other local organisations, such as the Children’s Information Service and the Stoke College based training provider Digitel i, will also be in attendance offering specialist help and a advice to job hunters with particular requirements.
