Homebase are on schedule to open their new store in Honiton on the 13th February 2004. They worked with their local Jobcentre Plus to fill 40 new jobs with local people.

Berni Lancaster Homebase store Manager said, “Jobcentre Plus provided an excellent recruitment service to meet our needs. They issued and sifted applications as well as arranging interviews. We couldn’t use our own premises for the interviews because of ongoing building work so they invited us to use theirs.”

He added, “Nothing was too much trouble, the hard work of Jobcentre Plus made the process easy for us. I am looking forward to opening our new store in Honiton and Jobcentre Plus have enabled us to fill our jobs with the right people so we will give the best service to our customers.”
