Cheadle Jobcentre is delighted to announce a new partnership, which has sparked the opening of a dedicated recruitment centre based at Chapel Street Jobcentre in Cheadle. Alton Towers has joined forces with the Jobcentre in a major recruitment drive to employ over 3,000 staff. The recruitment centre will be giving information about full and part time jobs available at Alton Towers, as well as offering advice on all employment and benefit related issues. Specialist advisers will also be on hand to discuss the range of help available when starting work, such as financial assistance towards the costs of childcare and advice on in work benefits. Nick Allen, Head of Human Resources for Alton Towers said, “We are looking forward to the new season, and are delighted to be working with Cheadle Jobcentre in this partnership role. As we strive to become an employer of choice, we are particularly pleased to be able to provide one-to-one advice in order to ensure that all applicants are aware of the wide variety of positions available, and the whole host of benefits we offer.” The recruitment centre will be open from 10am to 12.30pm then 1.30pm to 4.30pm on Mondays, and 9am to 12.30pm then 1.30pm to 4.30pm Tuesday to Friday each week. Henry Murray, Field Account Manger for Jobcentre Plus in Staffordshire said, “We are thrilled to be working alongside Alton Towers this year to help them recruit over 3000 staff and to be their recruitment partner of choice in 2004. All Alton Towers jobs will be advertised via Jobcentres. It is great to be able to offer such a large number of fixed-term vacancies, particularly in the leisure and hospitality sector.” People unable to visit Cheadle Jobcentre can telephone 01538 486313 and a member of staff will be happy to offer advice and give details of all current vacancies.
