Wolverhampton youngsters aged 16 and 17 years old who are looking for work are invited to attend a one off Jobclub set up through an innovate initiative between Jobcentre Plus and Connexions Black Country in Wolverhampton. The pilot Jobclub will be held at the Connexions Black Country Centre in Salop Street on Wednesday 27th July between 10.00am and 11.30am and will provide young people with a taste of the services they can receive from both teams. During the workshop young people will be given advice on producing CVs, completing application forms and they will be offered help and support with their job search. Nicky Perkins, from Jobzone Action Team, said: “Jobcentre Plus is thrilled to be working in partnership with the Connexions Black Country in Wolverhampton to deliver this employability workshop which will extend a helping hand to young people in the city who are keen to find work. Specialist and experienced advisers from Jobcentre Plus and Connexions Black Country will be at the workshop to give them advice on the services available to them while searching for employment. “We hope the event will be a great success and may lead to Jobclubs becoming a regular service we can offer to help young people in their search for work.” Teenagers who attend the event will receive a free daily bus pass and a pack including first class stamps, quality writing paper and envelopes. Jobzone Action Teams and Connexions Black Country aim to help jobless people who are most disadvantaged in the labour market.
