A new Jobcentre Plus opens in Redditch on Wednesday 4th October, giving local people access to the innovative service for the first time.

The office will be opened by Right Honourable Jacqui Smith MP, Permanent Secretary to the Treasury and Chief Whip, accompanied by Joan Skerry, district manager for Jobcentre Plus in the Marches (Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire). The opening of the office is the latest phase in a rollout of Jobcentre Plus offices across the country.

The new office will have personal advisers, who give a service tailored to each individual, touch-screen Jobpoints providing easy access to vacancies Europe-wide and an efficient appointment system in line with other customer focused high street services.
