Jobcentre Plus offices in North Staffordshire are gearing up to help local employers fill hundreds of permanent, temporary and seasonal vacancies. A Jobsfair will take place on Friday 30th September from 10am to 4pm at the Quality Hotel in Trinity Street, Hanley.

More than 600 full and part time jobs will be on offer, including retail assistants, warehouse and distribution, leisure, administration and postal sorters. Over 20 employers will be attending the jobsfair, including Marks & Spencer, Next, Royal Mail and many more.

Andrew Robertson, Jobcentre Plus recruitment manager, said:

"This is a unique opportunity that enables people looking for work to meet face to face with employers, discuss the posts on offer and complete application forms on the spot. This speeds up the recruitment process, allowing employers to find the right people for their vacancies and ensuring jobseekers are placed into the most suitable jobs in the shortest possible time.”

“Specialist Jobcentre Plus advisers will be available to talk to jobseekers about a range of extra help, including support for people aged 50 plus, lone parents wanting to return to work and people with disabilities. They can also give information on the range of financial help that may be available when starting work.”
