Jobcentre Plus is holding an open day to recruit over 100 staff for a new contact centre. The event will take place from 10am to 4.30pm on Wednesday 10 August at Campbeltown Jobcentre Plus, 40 Hall Street, Campbeltown.

The new contact centre, owned and operated by Contact 4, will be located at the Snipefield Industrial Estate in Campbeltown. A wide variety of jobs ranging from business advisers to managerial opportunities is currently available. The new contact centre will provide telesales services to customers on behalf of utility service providers.

Anne Howell, business manager at Campbeltown Jobcentre Plus said: “Jobcentre Plus has been working for some time with Contact 4 to ensure that their recruitment needs are met and that the local community will gain maximum benefit from the new jobs. It is great news that the contact centre is now opening.

“We are encouraging people to come along to the open day to find out more about the positions that are available and what the work involves. Staff from Jobcentre Plus will also be available to offer a range of advice to jobseekers such as providing information about the opportunities available to them or by showing those who are currently receiving benefits how financially better off they would be if they were in work.”

The open day will also provide the opportunity for people to begin the initial application process and book an interview.
