The Jobcentre Plus website has won two Hitwise online performance awards for recognition of outstanding business achievement throughout 2006 by achieving the number one ranking in two separate categories.

During 2006, the site ranked number one by visits among all other United Kingdom websites in the Hitwise Government - Central category.

The website also won the top award in the Business and Finance - Employment and Training category.

The Hitwise UK Online Performance Awards celebrates the most successful UK websites in 50 key selected industries, based on the market share of visits a website has received throughout 2006.

The Jobcentre Plus website provides information and e-services for employers, offering them the ability to place jobs online, with over 400,000 vacancies listed each week. It offers customers help getting back to work, with over 4 million job searches each week, as well as information on benefits and how to claim them. It provides information for organisations that wish to work with, or already work in partnership with, Jobcentre Plus.
