Local people now have access to this innovative service for the first time
*

A new Jobcentre Plus opened in Ross on Wye on Wednesday 1st March, giving local people access to the innovative service for the first time.

The office was opened by Councillor Joyce Thomas MBE, deputy llieutenant of Ross on Wye, accompanied by Joan Skerry, district manager for Jobcentre Plus in the Marches (Herefordshire, Worcestershire & Shropshire).

The opening of the office is the latest phase in a rollout of Jobcentre Plus offices across the country.

The new office has personal advisers, who give a service tailored to each individual jobseeker, touch-screen Jobpoints providing easy access to vacancies Europe-wide and an efficient appointment system in line with other customer focused high street services.
