Wolverhampton City Primary Care Trust working with Jobcentre Plus
*

Wolverhampton City Primary Care Trust (WCPCT) is working with Jobcentre Plus to recruit experienced administrators, clerks and care assistants for their team of reserve staff.

Eileen Hamann, recruitment manager for WCPCT, said:
“These jobs offer complete flexibility - once people have registered with us, they can phone in each week to let us know their availability and our reserve team will try to match them with appropriate shifts. Candidates with the right skills may want to try our mix of health care and administrative work.

“Reserve staff are employed by WCPCT and have access to all the training available. As well as the rewards that come from making a difference in people’s lives, our staff have excellent training and development opportunities plus flexible working arrangements.”

Hilary Clews, vacancy service manager at Chapel Court Jobcentre, said:

“We are delighted to be working with the Wolverhampton City Primary Care Trust to offer these excellent opportunities to people looking for a career in care or administration. All suitable candidates will undergo a paid induction programme, all the required health and safety training and Criminal Record Bureau checks.

“Care jobs will initially be at West Park and Penn Hospitals but clerical posts could be anywhere across the city, in local health centres or at the PCT’s headquarters at Coniston House. No formal qualifications are needed but some experience - although not necessarily received in a formal setting – is required. Looking after children, elderly relatives or voluntary work would all be valid experience for care work.”

Applicants will need a range of skills, including reliability, flexibility and effective communication skills. An ability to empathise with patients and clients is essential for the care posts.

Excellent customer service skills, IT and basic office skills are also required for the administration and clerical posts.

For more information ring Chapel Court Jobcentre 01902 435 335 for an application form. The closing date for applications is 3rd March.
