Jobless youngsters aged 16 and 17 from the Blakenhall and All Saints area of Wolverhampton are invited to a Jobclub being held at the Jobzone Action Team Jobshop at Blakenhall Gardens in Blakenhall on Tuesday 14 February starting at 10.30am.
The innovative initiative, between the Jobcentre Plus Jobzone Action Team and Connexions Centre Wolverhampton, aims to provide youngsters with a taste of the services they could expect to receive from both teams.
Workshops at the event include advice on completing application forms, producing CV’s and interview role-play. Youngsters will also be given a presentation about Jobzone Action Team and how its specialist advisers can assist them in their search for work.
Nicky Perkins, from the Jobcentre Plus Jobzone Action Team, said:
“We have held several Jobclubs throughout Wolverhampton and feedback from them all suggests that local young people are finding them very useful”.
Young people who attend the event will receive a free monthly bus pass and a free job-hunting pack including first class stamps, quality writing paper and envelopes.
