Over 200 vacancies will be available at a Jobsfair hosted by the Birmingham International Airport and National Exhibition Centre (NEC) Jobcentre Plus offices. The event takes place between 10am to 3pm on 21st January in the Inspire Suite at the NEC. People looking for their career to reach new heights in the New Year are invited to call in and meet over 20 employers, including British Airways, Monarch Airlines, bmibaby, Alpha Flight Services, Premier Travel Inn, Servisair UK and National Car Parks Limited. Angela Currell, manager of Birmingham International Airport Jobcentre Plus, said: "Jobcentre Plus is working with employers based at the airport and NEC to recruit full and part time, temporary and permanent staff. This is a great opportunity to meet face to face with potential employers, discover more details about their jobs and fill in application forms. "Vacancies include cabin crew, baggage handlers, aircraft cleaners, airport bus drivers, LGV and ordinary licence drivers, sales assistants, passenger check-in clerks, security guards, catering and bar assistants and airline meal preparers. The rates of pay vary and many of the jobs involve working shifts". Specialist Jobcentre Plus advisers will also be on hand to offer information and help with completing application forms.
