First Bus and Happy Days Nurseries sign up to tap local talent

Jim Dawson, HR Implementation Manager from First Bus, and Sarah Karkeek, Director of Happy Days Nurseries signed a LEP agreement with Secretary of State Peter Hain at an event on 8 November 2007 at the Beeches Conference Centre in Bristol.

Jessica Robinson, from First Bus said: “First Bus is delighted to be involved in initiatives which help the local community.  If we can improve the strength of our service by tapping into the skills of people in the region and give people the chance to return to work, then it will be of great benefit to everyone involved”.

Sarah Karkeek said: “It is good for businesses to work in partnership with Jobcentre Plus.  It is a win-win situation.  Some of our best employees were long term unemployed and it’s great to share their successes”.
