How we can help when you start workThere are a number of ways Jobcentre Plus can help you when you start work. £40 a week on top of your salary when you start work, plus help to get the job you want. If you're bringing up children on your own and you start work, from 7 April 2008 we could give you £40 a week (£60 a week in London) on top of your salary, tax free for up to a year.
