Employer Outcome target - helping employers to recruit

Target: 86%

What is the target?

The Employer Outcome target (EOT) measures our performance in meeting a high standard of service that is satisfactory to employers – it therefore helps Jobcentre Plus to meet the needs of its employer customers.

At least 86% of employers placing their vacancies with Jobcentre Plus will have a positive outcome based on employer perceptions of the service provided.

How does it work?

The Employer Outcome target will measure how quickly and effectively employers’ recruitment needs are met and whether we submitted the right people for the job.

An on-going survey of employers finds out what they thought of three key areas when using Jobcentre Plus for their recruitment:

  • resolution – Was the vacancy filled?
  • responsiveness – Was the vacancy filled in timescale that met their needs?
  • matching – Did they think that the people referred directly from Jobcentre Plus for the job, matched their vacancy details?

The individual scores of the three elements contribute equally to the overall target of 86%.

EOT data is updated each quarter (April – June, July – September, October – December, January – March).
