Jobcentre Plus is working with Primark to help recruit nearly 300 staff for their new store at Lakeside, formerly the Allders store.

A recruitment open day is being held at Grays Jobcentre Plus on Saturday 24th September between 10.00am and 3.00pm.

People from Primark will be present throughout the day to talk to interested applicants about the vacancies on offer and how to apply.

The new store will need nearly 300 staff ranging from sales, merchandising, cash office and stock room to management opportunities. There will be full and part time hours available including weekdays and weekend shifts.

Helen Ford, Marketing Manager for Grays Jobcentre Plus said:

“The store manager is very interested in hearing from any ex-Allders staff as they can be fast tracked into Primark’s recruitment system due to their previous experience. Primark will be opening the new store on Thursday 27th October.
