Contact for Redundancies - North West Region

Under the Rapid Response Service ( RRS ) Jobcentre Plus will work with employers and explain support to help them and their employees through a redundancy situation ; giving details of local provision and the partners who deliver the service.

In the North West each District has an RRS Manager who will discuss what is available and will have a good knowledge of the local labour market. Our local teams can provide you with a bespoke range of options that are designed to give employers and their workforce up to date and accurate advice on:

• Benefit claiming processes
• Help regarding training and job search support from a range of providers
• Access to Jobcentre plus vacancies and programmes
• Links with the Train To Gain service
• Advice for redundant workers wanting to set up their own business
• Links with HMRC for tax credit advice

RRS support can be offered to individuals under threat of redundancy , during their notice period and for up to 13 weeks from the date they lose their job. It is preferable that employers contact Jobcentre Plus at the earliest opportunity to discuss options.
