Welcome to the Yorkshire & the Humber Local Employment Partnerships Awards 2009. We are proud to be hosting these awards on 6 March 2009 at The Royal Armouries, Leeds and we want you to be part of the celebrations.

Over the last year employers across Yorkshire & the Humber have worked with us through Local Employment Partnerships to help thousands of local people back into work. There has been innovation and real commitment to developing people's skills and reaching out to parts of the community that have previously been overlooked.

Gill Farnsworth, Customer Services Director, Jobcentre Plus Yorkshire and the Humber will be chairing the prestigious judging panel drawn from employment experts across the public and private sector.

The winners will be announced at the ceremony and one of them will also receive our special award for Outstanding Achievement. Furthermore, all of our local winners will be entered for consideration into the LEP Awards for Great Britain, which will be held on 9 June 2009.
