One parent. Two pay days.

What will you spend yours on?

Man talking to woman woman and girl eating womand and two children sat down

If you're bringing up children on your own and start work, we'll give you an extra £40 a week on top of your wages, or £60 a week if you live in London. We'll give you this every week for up to a year, tax-free. It'll feel like you're getting paid twice.

Of course, we know that if you're bringing up children on your own, going back to work could seem challenging. Which is why we have put together a Choices Kit for you.

This will tell you what financial support you're entitled to when you are working, how to handle interviews and how to write your CV. In fact, it has all the information you need to plan your way back to work. Apply for a free Choices kit now. Call 0800 085 5701 and we'll post you a kit.

*Lines are open 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Calls to 0800 numbers are free from BT land lines but you may have to pay if you use another phone company, a mobile phone, or if you are calling from abroad. The textphone number is 0800 085 5729. The textphone numbers we provide are for people who find it hard to speak or hear clearly. If you do not have a textphone, some libraries or Citizens Advice Bureaus may have one. Textphones do not receive text messages from mobile phones.
