However, if you are already getting SDA, it will usually continue. This benefit is paid if you have not been able to work for at least 28 weeks in a row because of ill health or disability. What are the benefit rates?If you were getting Severe Disablement Allowance (SDA) in April 2001 you will normally continue to receive it. Since April 2001, when the benefit was replaced, no new customers have been able to claim SDA.
