Residential training for disabled people

The Residential Training Programme is intended to help long term unemployed adults with more complex disability related barriers to get a job through guidance, learning in the work place, work experience and training.

Most disabled people find they can use the facilities and support offered by local training organisations. However, if you cannot train in your local area, you might be able to go to a Residential Training College. A residential training course might consist of practical and directed training that is structured to give you the opportunity to develop and practice a wide range of vocational skills. You also get support from the specialist staff, and then training takes place in buildings that are designed to meet the needs of disabled people.
