Financial help when you're working

You might find that when you start work, you give up some financial help. However, you might be entitled to other support. This will depend on the benefit you get and the amount of work you do.

We can pay Disability Living Allowance to people who are in work as well as to people who are not in work.

In some circumstances, carers can work without losing their benefit, but you should get advice from your Jobcentre Plus office. Or you could call the Carer's Allowance Unit on 01253 85 61 23 (textphone 01772 899489). You can also use the RNID Typetalk service.

Extra income to top up your earnings

Once in work, Working Tax Credit could top up your earnings.

Child Tax Credit is a payment to support families with children.

Rapid reclaim

If for some reason your job doesn't work out and you need to claim benefits again, Rapid Reclaim makes it easier for you to do so.
