1. Use of this website

1.1 Department of Work and Pensions owns the Jobcentre Plus Website. Your access to and use of the Jobcentre Plus website is your acceptance to be legally bound by the terms set out below. If you do not agree to be legally bound, do not access or use  www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk.

2. Variation

2.1 We may make changes to Jobcentre Plus website, including these terms, at any time. You will be legally bound by the amended or updated terms from the first time you use the Jobcentre Plus website after the changes are put on-line. Please check our terms regularly.

3. Accuracy and Reliability

3.1 Jobcentre plus website is a general guide only to the services Jobcentre Plus offers and benefits. It is not a full and authoritative statement of the law, or benefit entitlement.

3.2  Jobcentre Plus makes every effort to ensure that the information available online is correct, but cannot accept any liability if it is not.

3.3. Fuller information regarding benefit entitlement can be obtained by contacting Jobcentre Plus.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 For your own personal, non-commercial use, you may copy, download or print off material, information and content from Jobcentre Plus website. You will need permission in writing from us before you use any other Jobcentre Plus website information for anything other than personal or non-commercial use.

4.2. The legal rights in all images, trade marks, trade names and logos are owned by Department of Work and Pensions and/or third parties. You must not use any image, trade marks, trade names or logos without first obtaining permission in writing from the owner. Any unauthorised use infringes Jobcentre Plus rights and those of third parties. Jobcentre Plus will take appropriate action in relation to any unauthorised use.

5. Our email policy

Jobcentre Plus email facilities are a way of forwarding general enquiries. They are not a secure route for sending personal information. Transmission of data over the internet cannot be guaranteed as totally secure. We make every effort to protect personal information you send to us, but we cannot guarantee its security. Accordingly, any personal information transmitted should be kept to a minimum, and is transmitted at your own risk. The Jobcentre Plus regrets that it cannot enter into long exchanges with individuals by email. However, if necessary, discussions can continue by other means.

6. Linking

6.1  Jobcentre Plus reserves the right to move or change its website URLs at any time in order to meet changing business needs and to improve its online service.

6.2. Jobcentre Plus excludes any liability howsoever arising should Jobcentre Plus website be unavailable at any particular time. We do not warrant that the Jobcentre Plus website or content will be available, uninterrupted or error free or that defects will be corrected or that the Jobcentre Plus website, content or supporting systems are free of viruses or worms.

6.3 External websites link to this website at their own risk. Jobcentre Plus does not encourage deep linking but recommends linking to the home page, which is less likely to move or change.

6.4 Links on Jobcentre Plus website to other websites are not under our control. We cannot be responsible and/or accept liability for the content of any linked website.

6.5 The inclusion of a link to an external website from Jobcentre Plus must not be interpreted as an endorsement of that site, product or services it provides.

7. Liability

7.1 We  do not accept any liability to you for any of the following types of loss or damage which you may suffer and as a result of your use of Jobcentre Plus website whether such losses were foreseen, foreseeable, unforeseen, known, unknown or otherwise;

7.2 loss which arose when you last accessed when you first accessed or used Jobcentre Plus website (even if that loss results from failure to comply with these terms on our negligence);

7.3 Any business loss you may suffer, including loss of income, revenue, loss of profits, or loss of anticipated savings, (whether these losses are direct or indirect result of our default.

7.4 loss which you suffer other then as a result of our failure to comply with these terms   or our negligence or breach of a statutory duty.

7.5 any loss due to default of any party other than us.

8. Remedies

8.1 To the extent that we are practically able to do so, we may terminate your access to any part of Jobcentre Plus website at any time without notice, if you breach any terms of this agreement.

8.2 If any terms are determined to be illegal, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable then the remaining items shall remain in full force and effect.

8.3 These terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England.
